Today a handful of returning members gathered at the lake home of member JJ Foley to welcome potential new members to the third annual "Day at the Lake". Similar to the second annual event last year the weather was wonderful with the sun blazing in the sky above and the temperatures well on the warm to hot side of the spectrum. At this event the potential new members are welcomed to get to know about the team while enjoying themselves at the lake.
This year’s “Day at the Lake” was a wonderful success. Behind the boats, owned by team alum Robert Mallof and the family of team member JJ Foley, all in attendance were able to waterski or wakeboard behind one of the boats. In addition, there was a great amount of interest in the event, shown by the twenty or more potential new members that ventured out to the lake with returning members on this Labor Day weekend.
With each rotation of waterskiers and/or wakeboarders that piled into the boats there were plenty of returning members and potential new members to partake in other activities. Activities ranged from grilling the food or playing in the water to team building and social activities.
After a meal and a day full of lake activities it was time to leave the lake and return to campus. In addition to all that was accomplished, the great turn out and the wonderful weather helped this year's "Day at the Lake" to be magnificent success. |
