Fall Banquet 2009

From the desk of Jose A. Gonzalez: The Marquette Water-ski team hosted its Fall-Season Banquet December 4th in Milwaukee’s downtown restaurant “Charro” : A dinner where the ski members dress formally to enjoy one another’s company one last time, before we all head off for Winter Break. Kelly Kotarek, our 09-10 season president graduated in December and we want to send her off with the best memories and experiences that we could have given her. We hope that she enjoyed her bright moments and not so bright ones with the team; that all her efforts into making the tournaments and practices possible and fun gave her the happiness, pride and gratification to belong to such a great team of college student as it did to rest of the members. We hope that some of her best college memories are rooted from skiing such as the first jump landing, first great trick-ski run, first six hour drive down to Iowa or first team meeting. As we send her off into Adulthood we say thanks for her leadership this past season, we wish her the best for what is next to come, and we remind her that she leaves the team in good hands of the new Executive board.
