WI Collegiate Open Results

The Waterski & Wakeboard Team at Marquette sent thirteen skiers to the Scott Coley Memorial - WI Collegiate Open Tournament this past weekend. The weather turned out to be the opposite of the previous weekend in Iowa with gusty winds and sporadic rain ranging from mists to downpour. The weather did not stop the tournament or the team from skiing though. As a team, Marquette placed 4th at the tournament out of 10 teams. The women's team had several top five finishes in various events. Leading the way was Laura Sampson with a first place finish in trick with a 410pt pass. Allyson Kaufmann and Andrea Tragos placed 3rd and 4th respectively in women's overall. Jes Laing tied for 4th in slalom. Elizabeth Agnes placed 5th in jump and landed her first ever jump in a tournament.
